The Lab coat is a modern take on a mid length casual coat inspired by workwear in the lab. Features a hidden button front, a clean round neck and large patch pockets that wrap slightly around to the back for both added functionality and interesting styling.

This is a multi-size pattern, including size XS-L. The pattern comes carefully packaged in an envelope together with step-by-step sewing instructions.

Seam allowances are included in the pattern. 

Model is 170 cm tall and wearing a size S. Find your perfect size based on your bust measurement.

Suitable fabrics: For a utilitarian look, choose heavy weight fabric, such as canvas, twill, panama, denim, or corduroy.

For a dress-like version choose a light to mid weight fabric such as linen, denim, cotton twill, wool, lightweight canvas. Perhaps skip the hidden button front and choose visible buttons and no lower pockets. Or if you’re looking for an even softer variant, more like a cardigan or kaftan, choose a light weight fabric, visible buttons and no pockets.

The green coat is sewn in a stretch cotton twill.
