We will make Pants in 2025 in additional Fabrics, sizes 28 to 50, but I want to get some feedback on this one-color run first, because we haven't made Pants in such a long time.
I'm calling these "Jacquard Pants" to help distinguish from that will also ship this year. The design of the Pants and Jeans are different, and we want also to emphasize the distinction between these Pants in from the Jeans in .
These Pants are priced at $595 up to size 42. Sizes 44 and larger are $645.
Our Jacquard-weave Pants are offered in both Fabrics. And mostly, the MidWeight Pants are more frequently suitable than the FullWeight.
Warm and tough and comfortable, these Pants will protect your legs in a wide variety of conditions. are soft and comfortable enough to be worn against the skin without long johns ... and warm enough that most do not wear long johns, even with MidWeight Pants, unless temps are well below freezing. These Pants, particularly the MidWeight Pants, can also be worn fairly comfortably in warm weather -- even above room temperature -- during low-level activity. One customer told me he'd received his FullWeight Pants the previous afternoon, and wore them comfortably for four hours in temp of 74F/23C. These Pants can provide surprising protection in exceptional circumstances. Here's a in MidWeight Pants.
- Wide, almost 2-inch (5 cm) Belt Loops and side Cinches
- Two deep hand-warmer pockets. These pockets are a wool-nylon blend to help withstand the rough edges of keys and to reduce bulk
- Rear pocket on both sides with zippered closure and hidden under a flap
- Cargo pockets with plenty of room. The cargo pockets are bellowed in front and bottom, but not at sides. This is different than the Pants shown in most photos. I'll get new studio pictures here after production.
- Seat is NOT doubled. Previous Pants did have doubled seat, but we decided against doing that again
- Inseam 35 inches (89 cm) and overall length 48 inches (122 cm). They are long enough for a person up to about 6'8" (203 cm) tall
- Cuffs are bloused (inner draw cord). Extra length is useful in colder weather, and the blousing enables you to tie the cuffs as snug to the ankles as desired. The ties are made from mil-spec nylon and located at the inside seam. If you remove the ribbon, there is basically a standard cuff. If you want to actually tailor to custom length, it is a simple local job, but we recommend wearing for a while first. Please forgive rough cellphone photo. Will get studio photos ASAP, but after production
- Extra-long front zipper
- Gusseted crotch that permits freedom of movement
- The Pants are offered in waist sizes 28, 30, 32, etc., up to 50. The waist sizes are measured in inches, and we add one inch (2.5 cm) plus to allow space to tuck in a heavy shirt, thermal top ... So, for example, a size 38 Pant will have a waist that actually measures a little over 39 inches (99 cm). To convert inches to centimeters, please multiply by 2.54
- Please note: the Pants are designed to be worn with a belt. Without a belt, they may hang too low and restrict motion
- Generously cut ... we add about 1.5 inches (almost 4 cm) to the waist size to accommodate tucking in a heavy shirt, thermals, etc.
- Some of the photos may show a waist cinch, but we have eliminated that. Need to update photos. We have a LOT to do ...
- Size 34 (86 cm) FullWeight Pants weigh about 3 lbs 7 oz (1.6 kg); MidWeight Pants weigh about 2 lbs 6 oz ( 0.9 kg)
The WeatherWool color palette is shown among the accompanying photos. Drab is similar to olive drab and Brown is a rich brown. This current run is Drab Green only.
